My point is- if you have been tree shopping with me three years in a row you should know I can't be trusted.

This year it is clearly Tim's fault that the tree doesn't fit in the house. After all this time he should know that I only say I want a small tree. Once I see the big trees, I lose my focus. Bigger is better. It's just the truth. Right, girls?

wellll, bigger is better in some ways, and in other ways, like trees, i go for the charlie brown christmas type trees -- the sad little ones that look lonely.

of course, we do the fake tree thing around here, but if i did shop, i'd by the sad trees.

oh geez kd. now i feel bad.

i always have the goal of a charlie brown tree, but when i get on the lot, all of a sudden i think i live in a mansion with vaulted ceilings. really, i have a big tree problem. i wonder if there are support groups for this sort of thing?

I'm with you! Every year I say, "No, that's too small! Let's find something bigger!" and every year it's like the Griswold Christmas tree, busting out windows when released from it's netting constraints.

Oh, me too. I was specifically planning on a small tree this year, so that when the cats pulled it down, it'd be less of a mess. But I ended up with a 7 footer.

I think we're all trying to recapture that feeling from childhood, you know, when the top of the tree was so far away! In our minds, perfect trees are huge.

lol

We always got Charlie Brown Christmas trees too. Mainly because it was my mom, my younger sister and I that had to carry it.

Next time, go by yourself... I guarantee you'll get a small tree if you have to carry the bugger yourself. ;)

"Bigger is better"? *LOL* Vaulted ceilings, huh? Funny girl.

I got myself out of that habit years ago when I was told I wasn't allowed to go to pick out a tree, and reinforced it last year when I begged Joe to buy me a fake charlie brown tree. There is a picture of it all decorated on my site if you want to know how great they can be sprouced up with colour, Suzie. It might help you ween yourself and decide to buy one just like mine on boxing day.

Inspiration I read once that the ancient Egyptians had fifty words for sand & the Eskimos had a hundred words for snow. I wish I had a thousand words for love, but all that comes to mind is the way you move against me while you sleep & there are no words for that.
