Day three of vacation brought the Great Knitting Tour of Pittsburgh. Basically, I bribed the family with good food and cake to accompany me to three different knitting stores.

I attempted to redeem my bad mother status from yesterday’s introduction of french fries to the child’s diet by giving her hummus today. She liked it. She liked chocolate cake even more.

Yeah, I saw that one coming too. She may look like her father, but she’s all me when it comes to cake.

That looks like an excellent piece of chocolate cake. I am totally jealous; now I am going to want cake all day long.

That's the second Bill Cosby reference I've seen today.

We used to listen to that Bill Cosby tape in the car on long road trips. Also Noah & the Ark, Fat Albert, and all his other routines. Crazy.

Inspiration I read once that the ancient Egyptians had fifty words for sand & the Eskimos had a hundred words for snow. I wish I had a thousand words for love, but all that comes to mind is the way you move against me while you sleep & there are no words for that.
