i mean after our wedding, and the day josie was born, and the day the sox won the series, and just a few other days.

Shall I tell you about my best day ever?

It started with me taking the day off, after a quiet night on call. I had my second doctor’s appointment of the week, and even though there were words thrown around that I didn’t want to hear, like bloodwork and scheduled section and bedrest and lovenox, we were very reassured that another child is at least within the realm of possibility. We need to process and discuss and think, but the news was overall good.

Then, we had breakfast. When was the last time you had a real breakfast on a weekday, with eggs and pancakes and already buttered toast? My day was already turning out fabulous, when my boss called to say he hated to bother me at home, but he thought I’d like to know that another full time doctor (in December, but still!) has been approved for my office. And oh yeah, it’s the person I asked for. And, oh yeah, I’m getting a bonus. And then Josie and I both took naps. In the middle of the day!

Have I mentioned my Deep and Powerful love of Richard Shindell? If I haven’t, well, I have a Deep and Powerful love of Richard Shindell, who was playing in Pittsburgh tonight. Guess who was sitting in the very front sipping martinis?

Honestly, you can’t make up days like this. Best day ever!

I hadn't heard of Shindell until a few months ago, when you and Christina mentioned him. I thought he was wonderful - when I called him the "poor man's Dylan" at the beginning of the set I was wrong. He was definitely a better singer and musician than Dylan. OK, so not a better songwriter, but two out of three ain't bad.

Last night was way cool and I'm glad I went.

I did the Lovenox thing with my twins. It really wasn't that bad. The bedrest thing, well it sucked. I can't lie to you there. Just don't allow the nurses to give you the shots. I did, and thought I would have to beat some poor little nurse up.

Congrats on all the info.

What a difference from a couple weeks ago, huh?

It makes me happy that you're happy.

Inspiration I read once that the ancient Egyptians had fifty words for sand & the Eskimos had a hundred words for snow. I wish I had a thousand words for love, but all that comes to mind is the way you move against me while you sleep & there are no words for that.
