Remind me again why I wanted that baby to crawl?

Or be a doctor when I grew up?

Also, after EIGHT years, I have bought a new mobile phone. Get this- it takes pictures! And instead of a normal ring, you can choose any song you want. I feel like a caveman seeing fire for the first time with this thing. I'm sure everyone else in the free world has already come to terms with the overwhelming responsibility that is choosing a mp3 that represents my whole being when someone choose to give me a ring, but it’s sent me for a complete loop. I have no idea where to start. Cutesy eighties song, movie quote, Josie laughing, angry girl song? I can’t define myself in fifteen seconds! This is too hard! I want my old phone back!

Picking a new ring is a tough enough responsibility... but having to pick the individual rings of your close friends? That's pretty tough.

My only rule for choosing a ring? Don't choose anything you really like. Because it's gonna be your ring. In less than a month, you'll grow to hate that song.

And. When in doubt? Choose the ring that's least obnoxious. So, you can forget Mambo No. 5.

Don't the new cell phones just rock?!

I bought myself a new phone at the end of March and I agree with you Suzie, it's like night and day compared to my old phone. Mine is a Samsung a920 with mP3 player and I loooooove it! I recently bought a 1 Gig memory card for it so I could load it full of tunage. The card for it is so tiny I'm paranoid about losing it when I take it out. I can't believe the things this phone can do! It can even take videos and I can watch TV!

I heard of someone having a chicken ring tone and I'd like to get my hands on one also. I prefer my ring tone to stick out so I know it's my phone ringing when I'm out and about.

My husband (the baseball coach) and I both have "Take me out to the ballgame..." as our ringtone. I thought that would be aprop. for you as well! :D

I don't have a fancy phone like that. I can select one ring for all. There are no pictures. Do you download an entire mp3 for your ring? Or, do they have them shortened to be just the right length for in incoming phone call? I'm more out of touch than you are. (btw - I don't remember now whose blog I came from to this one.)

Cheryl Wheeler, "It's the Phone". You really have to hear it -- iTunes has the first 20 seconds, but full lyrics are at http://www.cherylwheeler.com/songs/cell.html.

Inspiration I read once that the ancient Egyptians had fifty words for sand & the Eskimos had a hundred words for snow. I wish I had a thousand words for love, but all that comes to mind is the way you move against me while you sleep & there are no words for that.
