Yesterday we had our first swab for influenza come back positive. School’s still in session, and it’s a few days before Christmas. My life is about to get awesome.

Actually, that sounded bitter, which I’m not. I’m grateful that I have Christmas day off to spend with my family this year. I’m a little sad that I’ll have to put off some time that I had scheduled off in the next few days to make sure that the coughing hordes have medical care, but that’s life. I never should have taken that darn oath.

Anyway, today is Tim’s birthday. As I’ve probably mentioned, my husband is truly the kindest person I’ve ever met. Happy day of your birth, turkey boy!

Inspiration I read once that the ancient Egyptians had fifty words for sand & the Eskimos had a hundred words for snow. I wish I had a thousand words for love, but all that comes to mind is the way you move against me while you sleep & there are no words for that.
